Guest Blogger - Karla Schweizer

Today's Blogger is CODE teacher Karla Schweizer.

Karla is currently teaching 6-8 E/LA and Reading @ Thompkins Middle School is Evansville, IN.  Take a look at her Weebly site for her classes @  Again, Karla is a guest blogger, please give her some cheers for her time and collaboration!

  1. Fabulous! I have a sixth grader, and I only wish I had this type of communication. Given the nature of the middle-school student, it is nice for a parent to be able to go to a teacher's blog and find out what is going on in the classroom (especially for parents who are teachers!). Well done!

  2. I love the fact that you list chrome as the correct web application to view your site from. Many times I visit sites where things aren't working and have to guess at which one would fix the problems I am having. Second I like the fact that you ask for the users of the site to post or email you dead links. I have tried to keep sites up-to-date before and it can be a hassle when links are bad for weeks before someone mentions it. Keep up the great work.

  3. GREAT idea!! Nice way to store your lesson plans students can access them

  4. Karla,
This is such a great way to manage your classroom. I love that your students have access to the information any time. The resources and links are really helpful. You are really taking the concept of CODE to the next level! Thank you for your leadership!

  5. I love your site!

I love the CHAT rubric and the 4/3/2/1 structure. I can't wait to see some student work - I love that you have provided opportunities for students to shine online!

Thanks so much for letting us learn from you!
